While I ran several websites from 2003 until about 2009, I did quite a bit of content writing. I happened to catch the eye of several publicists looking for someone to read and review books. It began with Poetry Speaks to Children, a book I actually enjoyed. I was really excited because the publisher simply sent me the book and asked me to write a review for my website, even if I didn't care for the book.
I wrote the review and also published it on Amazon. Then, publishers began contacting me faster than I could read books. When my twins came along, I really did not have time to read at all (or sleep, really). So, the blog fell by the wayside and it has been frozen in time since 2012. There are almost 50 books reviewed on the site, including reviews or publicist approved excerpts. All of the reviews posted in 2009 were from a personal website I no longer wanted to pay to host, so I took the content and transferred it to the blog. Because of that, there are a few posts that do not have the photos that should go along with the review. Overall, it is still intact with the original content.
All book excerpts and reprints were made with the permission from the publisher/publicist.
